Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and JBL Group, LLC ("we") for using ContactsLuX on the web and in the ContactsLuX phone apps for iPhone and Android. By creating an account you accept them.

Your account

You must be at least [16] and give a valid email. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity in your account. One person per account.

Free trial and Pro

New accounts get a 14-day free trial with every feature. After that, Pro is a paid subscription at [price per month / per year]. If you don't subscribe, your account becomes read-only: you can still view, export and delete your data.

Paying on the website (Stripe)

On the website, Pro is billed by card through Stripe. It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel at any time in Settings → Plan → Manage subscription; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. [Refund policy for web purchases: e.g. no refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires.]

Paying in the phone app (App Store / Google Play)

• In the iPhone app, Pro is bought through your Apple ID; in the Android app, through your Google Play account. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
• Auto-renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and your store account is charged within 24 hours before the period ends, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before then.
• Cancel or change it in your phone's settings: iPhone — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ContactsLuX; Android — Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ContactsLuX. Deleting the app or your ContactsLuX account does not cancel a store subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds for purchases made in the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple or Google under their rules — request them at reportaproblem.apple.com or in Google Play. We can't issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.
• [Free trial in the stores, if offered: any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.]
• "Restore purchases" in Settings → Plan links a subscription you already bought with the same Apple ID / Google account to your ContactsLuX account.
• For the iPhone app, these terms apply together with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. [Decide: use Apple's standard EULA, or these terms as a custom EULA in App Store Connect.] Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support.

Your data stays yours

You keep all rights to your contacts and content. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the app to you, as described in the Privacy policy. You confirm you are allowed to keep the contact details you add or import — including from your phone's address book, which the app reads only when you tap Import.

What the app does — and doesn't

ContactsLuX changes, merges or deletes contacts in your connected accounts only when you tap to do so, and keeps backups and an undo history. Still, you are responsible for checking changes before you confirm them. AI suggestions can be wrong; nothing is sent to anyone by the app. Reminders are a convenience — don't rely on them for anything critical.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no spam or unsolicited messages, no scraping, no attempts to access other accounts or to overload or break the service, nothing illegal.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but it is provided "as is", without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. We may change features; we will give notice of material changes to these terms.

Liability

[To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Lawyer to review.]

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account (on the website or in the phone app). We may suspend accounts that break these terms. On deletion, your data is removed as described in the Privacy policy. Remember to cancel a store subscription in your phone's settings.
